Kintrex IRT0421 Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer with Laser Targeting
The Kintrex infrared thermometer provides accurate readings over a wide range of temperatures from -76 to 932 ° F. This device do very quick reading and accurate when used properly. The main advantages of this unit are it uses 2 AAA batteries rather than a 9-volt battery and the scale selector is below the display for easy switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit and vice versa.
The display is very easy to read even in a dark room since it back lighted and it has laser pointer to guide you for in long distance measurement. Kintrex IRT0421 is the most affordable IR thermometer and best seller unit with no emissivity adjustment which means it less accurate on the reflective surface. Fortunately, the emissivity of most non-metal materials is close to 0.95.
Raytek MT6 MiniTemp Infrared Thermometer
The Raytex also has no emissivity adjustment; it won’t be accurate on shiny or reflective surface. The best Raytex feature is that when squeeze the trigger and hold it, the device will scan all the surfaces you pointing at and updates the temperature continuously. Then it displays the last temperature and maximum temperature recorded during that scanning time for several seconds after you release the trigger.
Raytex MT6 use 9volt battery that will last for 12 hours and has ±1ºC (2ºF) deviation on 10ºC to 30ºC (50º F to 86º F). 1.5ºC (3ºF) or ±1.5% of reading deviation on 10º C to 30º C (50ºF to 86ºF) outside, and ±2ºC (4ºF) for below-10ºC (14ºF) temperature.
Fluke 62 Mini Infrared Thermometer
The Fluke 62 can measured broad range of temperatures from -30 to 500 degrees Celsius (-20 to 932 ° F) the widest range compare to Raytex and Kintrex. The unit is rugged enough for industrial environments with its protective rubber boots.
Two things that make this unit less attractive are: the price is 70% higher than Raytex, but if you are a Flux fan and know their quality and reliability then it shouldn’t be a problem. Secondly the selector to switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit is inside the handle, you have to open up the battery compartment to switch it.

According to Amazon and Sears the Fluke 62 has a range of only -30º to 500ºC (-20º to 932ºF)
